drop down menu problem

I tried to build a drop down menu which linked to table, but when i change to datasheet view, and click the dropdown menu arrow, it was blank. i can only get the value from the forward/backward arrow bar in the form bottom, not from the dropdown menu arrow. Could anyone help me on this? a detailed explanation is greatly appreciated.

Did you build it with the wizard?

No, i used design view.

I mean did you build the dropdown with the wizard where it steps you through linking a combobox with a table or query.

NO. i used the toolbox to put a combo in the form and then tried to change the properties and link to a table.

Is your RowSource correct? Are you sure you have a combo or listbox and not a text box? Have you tried just creating it again?

Sorry, I can't figure out how to get what is happening to you to happen to me and am unfamiliar with the problem
