I am currently working with the fire brigade and as part of my job i need to draw footprint plans of high risk buildings. Once this is done i save my drawings into a folder that the IT department has set up. Once in there, their database can automatically place the drawings into the relevant files. The only problem I have is that the IT dept cant seem to get the drawing to show within a report. The report just shows either a blank screen or a CAD dwf icon. The only way you can view it is by double clicking on the icon or area where the drawing should have been, this then opens up the drawing in a seperate viewer. Unfortunately this doesnt help when we want to print. We dont want to transfer the drawings to bitmap images as they become blocky and not very clear. Is there a way that a AutoCAD DWF drawing can be viewed and printed within an access report.
