Ok needing some help with my report, I have a crosstab Query as the source for my report, of course the issue is the column headings on the report. I have Purchasers as a row heading, Year as a row heading, Month/Year as a row heading, Meter as a column heading, PaidMCF as Value and, a total as a Row heading. My issue is feeding the column headings on my report with the meter names.

Purchaser 1 has 23 meters attached
Purchaser 2 has 1 meter attached
Purchaser 3 has 6 meters attached
Purchaser 4 has 2 meters attached
Purchaser 5 has 16 meters attached
Purchaser 6 has 11 meters attached.

I am stuck.. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Use the report detail OnFormat event to rename the columns. This may be problematic if all columns ar not always present. If all columns are not always present, add a zero (0) value for missing columns, or automatically add a zero(0) to all columns first. Oh, with a union query.

So I take it you want a report which is 23 meters wide plus the row headings?

row 1 (purchaser1) would complete all columns
row 2 (purchaser2) would only complete the first column

etc

If this is not correct, please provide some sample data and what you want it to look like. In particular the contents of the meter field

Also - what do you expect to happen if purchaser1 adds another meter?

thank you for the response, due to the amount of meters each purchaser has and the potential to grow I found exporting it to a spreadsheet and giving the user the ability to format accordingly is a better avenue to take.
