Email Hyperlink

Hello,
I have a field in tblB2BCarriers that has an email that is saved as hyperlink.
When I create a query with email as a field it shows up as should be when it is just that table.
Then when I InnerJoin another table on the matching field, CarrierCode in both tables still ok.
BUT then is when it gets wanky. When I add a field from the other table the hyperlink is no longer an email it is something in what appears to be Chinees writing.
Has anybody ever experienced anything like this and if so can you tell me how to fix that?

I have not but then I don't use Hyperlink field.

What do you mean by "CarrierCode in both tables" - why is this field in both tables?

Provide sample data and relationships. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

I've seen something similar, but not exactly the same. It involved a calculated field, not a hyperlink.
