;) Hello Gurus
I keep seeing this asked for and looking at this from the point of view of a muppet/newbie - or lower user angle non of the answers seem clear - could the Gurus have a look and come up with some idea's

What I and others seem to be asking is to be able to email out of Access using 3rd party software (most likely Outlook)
If we take an example (and this is sometihng i would love to have)
based on access/outlook 2000

is a field in access table holding the email address
a field for the subject

now for slight complicated bit a field for the main body of the email
some of us would want more than field to be enter so a return possilbly 2 or 3 of these

once this is up and running the other end users could see how this is put together and swap the field names with their own d/base names

My old programmer did a lovely little d/base with all of this in - new job unable to "borrow" this golden nugget of an answer

so let's recap

lets take a table
call it information and the fields we want in the email are
emailaddress = emailadd
subject =subject
mainbody of email =field1, return carrage,field 2return carrage,etc

once we have this put to bed -most midl evel guys could then use this formula - hope this doesn't come across as a negative as the answers ,time and help of this forum, shows that people do care andthe database libary is brilliant have used some of these myself and even other peoples problems give insight into how to reslove my own problems

Try this

Dim stDocName As String

stDocName = "RPT_name"
DoCmd.SendObject acReport, stDocName, acFormatSNP, [EmailAdd], [CCEmailAdd],[BCCEmailAdd] , [SEmailSub], [EmailMess], True
use acFormatRTF if you want your report in Rich text format.

Just make sure that the query that builds the report picks up [EmailAdd], [CCEmailAdd], [BCCEmailAdd] ,[SEmailSub],& [EmailMess]

If you have multiple email recipients you will need to concatinate them first.
