I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this one for me?

I have a complicated report that has to duplcate a companies existing Excel spreadsheet and as such contains numerous supreports to acheive this.
This works perfectly when printed, but I also want to give them the option of emailing it.
I created a button to do this by using the wizard - fine

However when you click on this button, all the file options except 'snapshot' do not create a readable report and 'snapshot' cannot be opened by most people.

Is there a way of emailling this report in a format that will still be retreivable in the same format that is produced when it is printed, i.e complete with lines, boxes and shaded sections?

I would be very grateful if anyone can help.

Thank you

Access reports can't be saved per se. Therefore, Access reports aren't emailable.

Give them SnapShot

Why not just give them SnapShot? It's free, and not that large. If you want to email reports to people regularly, that's how I'd do it.

This is Snapshot!

Hello llkhoutx,
Here is the link for Snapshot from Microsoft:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q175274

Here is a brief description of Snapshot:

The Microsoft Snapshot Viewer enables you to view a report snapshot without having Microsoft Access 97 or Access 2000 or the run-time version of Microsoft Access 97 or Access 2000 on your computer. The download consists of a stand-alone executable program (Snapview.exe), a Snapshot View control (Snapview.ocx), and related files.

Hope this helps!

Thanks everybody.

Snapshot is the way to do it and thats what I'm using.
