I'm using Access 2010. I have created a report, based on a query. This has taken quite alot of time to create. When I try to open this report in Report View, it gives me a Enter Paramter Value and lists my query. When I click the cancel button, the Report opens and works as expected. I'm scratching my head here. I have checked the properties of every single item in my report. I have no little green indicators, telling me that Access sees a problem. I can separately run the query and it shows the correct information with no errors. Help! How do I go about finding what is causing the parameter box to pop up???

Suggest you post a copy with no confidential info. Just need enough data to make the query and the report useable.

Suggest you make a zip file to post.

My guess on the parameter is a misspelling, but guessing won't solve it. We should look at the code and data.

if your report is based on a query, the parameter that access is searching for should be indicated in the query in the "criteria" row. strange that request for parameter does not occur when you run the query however.

If your query has no parameters then you have mispelled something or referred to an object that is not available and so it prompts you for it. Find where that is occuring and get rid of it or fix it.
