My name is Cristian, I’ll try to explain myself as better as I can, English is not my first language so guys try to work with me and as my nick says I’m not an access pro at all :/

So like with set up a few reports in my work that we run though a macro and we use Access, every time we try to run the report (macro) that calls a VBA function (I don’t quite understand what is VBA but let’s keep going) in access it pops up an error “2920” I was checking the forums the past few days and I google’ed it. It seems that this error is related to the trusted locations. So I did everything it shows in how to fix the error in support.microsoft the others sites I found say pretty much the same thing. But it keep sending me the same error.

We have a server and there are 3 persons that work with access. I don’t know if this is what makes my problem a bit different and maybe it’s why even if I followed all the steps I can’t fix the problem. Is there any difference? Is there something else that I should try? I didn’t created the data base and I really don’t know how the whole macro/access works. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hello

thanks for your reply! still i already tried that. i added the folder that is on the server to the trusted locations and nothing then i changed the folder to one of the ones that are already listed as trusted locations and nothing.

idk if it have something to do with the fact that we use a server or not. maybe that would solve the problem if i was using a personal computers with all the data, softwares in my hard drive or something.

any other ideas?

It wouldn't have anything to do with whether it is a server or not, with the EXCEPTION of - when you set the Trusted location did you check the box Allow Trusted Locations on My Network?

Hi and thanks again!

Yes we do. i was checking one of the locations had the subfolders disallowed i just changed it but is sending us the same error
