hi,

access version 2003

i have bought an Access program for my business and am using a .mdb database with this software.

i have installed the software on a new PC , but get the following ERROR when running the software:

is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides. (Error 3044)

shall be very gratefull if anyone can assist me with solving this one !

At what point in running the app are you getting this error?

Brett

good morning Brett,

thanx for the much needed response - i really appreciate.
when i open my application , it asks for my username and password , and after successfully input that -
it gives me the error message :

data.mdb not a valid path.Make sure the path is spelled correctly...and you connected to the server

hope you can help me.

regards
markus

That suggests that you have either copied the application into another directory and not relinked the back end to the front end or the author neglected to impliment a reconnection routine.

Try relinking yourself using the Tools/Database Utilities/Linked Table Manager.
