I'm using access 2000. I have a master form and have 3 subforms
inserted. On one of the sub forms I have a combo box. When I enter data
from the list, I get this error message: "You can't assign a value to
this object. * The object may be a control on a read only form.
* The object may be open in design View.
* The value may be to large for the field.

Then after you click ok to the error message it takes the data. I have 2
other text boxes, and one memo box that does the same thing, yet it
takes the data if you click ok. So I'm kind of lost here. Can anyone
help? -

I thought because I had a timer event set on the form called "Master" that it was calculating and causing this but its not.
The timer event is for the field called "Time" so it will run in the form.

Would somebody please look at my mdb, and see if you can find the cause? -Thanks John
