Error message

I am trying to run a report and im getting an error message saying 'Cannot open any more databases'. The database is quite big, 12MB, and has numerous tables, queries, forms and reports. The report consists of a number of subreports but I have a similar report that opens up fine.

Has anyone ever come across this error message before before?

12 MB is not particualy big

Are you running code in the reports? It looks as if you may be creating instances of DB but not clearing them when the code finishes..

no code, the report contains 10 subreports which are all based on queries, the queries are similar except for the criteria, ie title id =1, then 2, 3 etc

now when i try to run the report im getting a message box saying Microsoft has encountered a problem, do i want to repair the database and send an error report

have you tried compact and repair?
