Question error msg "jet database engine"

after system stopped responding, while my db was opened, I got this error message:

"the microsoft jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user attempting to change the same data at the same time."

this file is so important for me, it contains all my finance stuff

so if anyone can help, i`ll be thanks a lot

yes i`m the only one who use this db.
i tried all that ideas before
the same err msg is all i`ve got

Sounds like you have a record lock, somehow.

I would try copying the file into a different directory and see it the error persists.

If you are able to open the file, run the "Compact & Repair Database" utility immediately.
