Hi,

i copied all files to another pc with the same os and etc. and i get that error: attached
please help what to to
i am not programer,
thank you

A problem occurred while Microsoft Access was communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX control.
* The expression may not result in the name of a macro, the name of a user-defined function, or [Event Procedure]
* There may have been an error evaluating the function, event or macro.
I clicked"Help" the following message came out :
"This error occurs when an event has failed to run because the location of the logic for the event cannot be evaluated. For example, if the OnOpen property of a form is set to =[Field], this error occurs because a macro or event name is expected to run when the event occurs."

I'm not sure what you mean by " copied all files" but is the new location a "Trusted" location.

Open a VB Code window. Check the Tools>>References item to see if you have any broken references. Copying stuff works for databases and for files they might open through VBA, but doesn't work if we are talking about other files.

For example (and I'm not saying you did this), copying all of the files in the Office folder to an equivalent folder on another machine doesn't install those files. The registry has to be updated to hold the pointers because it is ALWAYS possible to have installed Access in a non-standard path. (Not recommended, but possible.) So the one place where you can ALWAYS find things is the registry.

It is also possible that you separately installed Access on both systems but didn't choose the same options both times. ActiveX and OLE support files are installation options that do NOT default to "install & run from local disk."
