Hi,

I am a newbie to excel...very much so but I don't know how to split the table into smaller tables like MS does with most of their templates.

Is it to do with frozen panes or something?

Ideally I would like a quick guide on how to do this? Or a link to a tutorial

Thanks

Hi, ,

what are you after (sorry but non-english speaking foreigner doesn´t get the point ;))? What MS generally does is putting only part of the information into one worksheet at a time instead of users who want to do it all in one worksheet.

Ciao,
Holger

Sorta depends on what version of Excel you are running. Not to mention if I am understanding you correctly.

Are you talking about displaying rows or columns set, so that say rows 1 and 2 or columns A and B do not move, but all the data under/beside them does? If that is the case, just go into your page layout and find the 'Print Titles' section. Select what rows/columns you would like to repeat and it should do what you are asking...

If I have mis-understood your original question, can you describe further?

I am using Excel 2007 just now.

If you download one of the templates from MS, I am looking at the family monthly budget one -

You open your worksheet and it has sections for different things, one for income, expenditure, tax etc.

my spreadsheet is set up just fine. All my tabs work, formulas, etc etc. But I just want to be able to print them all onto one long sheet. 44"x70" or so...
