Excel Personal.xls not opening

I call a macro from Access which cannot be found due it appears that for some reason when Excel is opened by an external program the Personal.xls is not opened.

If the spreadsheet is opened manually personal.xls is opened ok

Any ideas

You'll need to find out the path to the Personal.XLS and open it manually in the same sub where you open the other workbook. I don't know if you'll need to close it manually as well.
