Excel to Access Problem (1 Viewer)

Hi there

Hope someone can help. I am linking from Access to an Excel file. It is a very simple, one-table database (at this point). I have set the formats for the columns in Excel (eg two decimal points). When I do the link to Access it pulls some of the columns across correctly, and some not (loses the formatting). I can't change the formatting in the Access table because it is a linked file (and it won't let me). Anyone have experience of this?

Same result in Access/Excel 2000 and in 2007.

1. you don't need to change the formatting at the table level.

2. Create a query to use instead of the "table" and format your stuff the way you want it there.
