In Excel 2003 is it possible when I click on a combobox to display more than 8 rows of data. I remember reading somewhere where it is not possible. Is there a way around it

You can have more then 8 rows displayed in Excel 2003.

The way to create that option is different depending on which controlbox you used.

If you used the Controlbox from the Forms toolbox, then right-click the controlbox and select Format Control, then in the Control tab, adjust the Drop down lines field.

If you used the ControlBox from the the Control Toolbox, then go into Design mode and right click the controlbox, select Properties and adjust the ListRows field

Sorry i gave you the wrong information, I have been working in Excel and Access and got my wires crossed.

What I have is actually a drop down validated Lists from a defined name range.

Is it possible to show more than 8 rows in this list

NBVC gave you the right answer.

The data validation drop down menus are very limited as to the formatting. If formatting such as font, row count, etc are important then you need to revert to comboboxes... I think this is what Galaxiom was referring to when he stated I gave the "right" solution... :)
