export excel xLsx Worksheet to Worksheet xlsm

I have not a clue working with excel.

Here is what I have so far
I have a file saved as .xlsx so when I added a macro I had to save as a .xlsm.
When I want to update the .xlsx file, I have to to all the steps over again.


My question is can I export a worsheet (.xLsx) to a worksheet in file type (.xlsm) and can I use a macro to do this.

Is this even possible.
