Hi all,

Bit of a big ask this one. I have a database with a query that gives us a few extra details from our table. It tells us whether someone has done a sleep in and then based on whether it is a weekday or weekend gives us a letter corresponding to that. Using three devices at each location we can determine which house they have signed in at. What I want to happen is to make a query that will give me a total of the hours for someones role and total amount of sleep ins based on the letter. I know this makes little sense so I have attached the database so you can see. On the main form there is a button to show staff on sleep in which gives you an idea that there are three locations for this and on the query QryDeductionsandSleepIns it will show you how the initials are chosen based on day and house. I'm looking for totals based on staff ID from tblStaff. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Oh and then I want to export to an excel file but I kinda know how to do that. Also some people have two roles (ie care, helath and safety) so I would like the query to run two sets of hours and rates. There will never be more than two roles. Ask me any questions I know there will be some.

Unfortunately the data comes from a third party all in one file hence the randomness of the table.
