My Uncle has created a simple Report in Access 2007 and would now like to export it to Word 2007 but hasn't been able to find out how.

How this is done please?

He'd then like to add some page breaks to the exported Report, so .doc format if poss would be fine for him,or any other format that would allow page break insertions.

Many thanks

Mike,

I had the same question six minutes ago and found your unanswered post.

In Access 2007, to manually export to Word, just do this:

1. While your report is open go to the EXTERNAL DATA ribbon tab

2. Find the EXPORT GROUP and the WORD icon should be in the top right of that group.

3. Click that button and a dialog will open to allow you to name it and to choose whether to open or not.

I've been scouring the net for an answer to my problem. I'm fairly new to Access 2007 development, I have only been using it for about a year. I am trying to export a report to Word using the advice in this thread. My problem is, that even though my table is set for 'rich text' and my report is displaying all the bold and italicized formatting, once it becomes an RTF file it loses all formatting. I haven't found one thread online that mentions this problem, and if anything, even Access help never explicitly states that simple formatting like 'bold' is lost during export. I've also tried to do a mail merge as well, but then the text appears on the merge with html tags. Is there a setting that I don't know about? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the same situation. I have rich text in the table and form. The report displays with RTF formatting, but export to word loses all formatting. I'm still looking but am not hopeful.

Is there a way to do this with a command button, instead of through the ribbon? My database will be designed for a number of end users, and I have disabled the ribbon for most FEs due to security concerns.
