I export several reports to pdf that are shared with co-workers. A few reports include hyperlinks to various websites.
Is it possible to create hyperlinks to documents saved on our network that the end user could open by clicking the link in the pdf file? Instead of linking to www.google.com, the link would be to \\workserver\projects\checklist.doc and when the end user clicked the link, MSWord would open the file.
I've attempted to paste the network path into my hyperlink field but Acrobat tries to open the file using an internet browser as if it were a url. If I use Acrobat's built-in linking functionality everything works properly, but that doesn't help me automate the process.
Thanks.
