Exporting to the same XLS file - 2

Hi I replied to post of Exporting to the same XLS file on 1/4, but didn't receive a reply. I need to export out from one table to Excel grouped by client ID to each worksheet. The Excel report will have approximately 15-20 worksheets. The DoCmd.Output exports each client to their own worksheet. Is it possible for this command to export one report with multiple worksheets (one for each client)? If so, will the DoCmd.Output work and how will the group by client criteria be implemented in the code?

Filter the report record source and multiple TransferSpreadsheet call to export to the various worksheets.

Thanks for your reply, but I am a bit lost in the translation you mention. I am attempting to output from a table of the final results. How do I filter the report record source? Also is it possible to have the TransferSpreadsheet call for the grouping. The reason I ask is there maybe clients that do not report any activity for a specific week and if I set the TransferSpreadsheet call for a client that have no records, it may return an error.

The report record source is a table or a query. Merely filter that table or query accordingly. Then test it to determine whether or not it has any records, if no records, skip that report.
