Extract date portion from timestamp (1 Viewer)

I need to extract date portion from timestamp for my crystal report.
Timestamp format is '2009-10-22-13.45.34.164874.', and my desired results should be 2009-10-22.

why don't you just take the left portion out of it using the left() function?
