This may be a really silly question so I am preparing myself for a barage of pleasantry abuse!
I have created an inventory/invoice database for a client. Works fine, no probs. They have now decided that when a particluar type of sale is processed, they would like the letter "G" to prefix the invoice number. Bearing in mind that all my tables, queries, forms (and there are many) are all set to NUMBER for the invoice number field, is there any way that this field can somehow accept a prefix of "G" or can anyone offer a solution???
