Hi All,
I'm having problems with MkDir.
I have a command button which will create a network folder based on field values on a form. ie G:\NPD\FolderName
Everything works fine on my pc but it will not work on any of the client pc's. I just keep getting the File/Access Error.
If I create the folder on the local drive it works fine so it must be something to do with the network.
Strangely though it works fine on a collegue's pc which we both have VB6 installed.
Can anyone explain what is going on...??

Are you sure the client PCs have sufficient rights on the network?

They are able to create folders through explorer with no problems.

You are right dcx693.
If I log on the the client pc everything works fine. I have administrator privileges where as the client doesn't.

I don't understand though why they can create a folder through explorer but not through code.
Does anyone know of a get around for this??

Sounds like your problem right there, if I'm reading it right.

If you log on, you have admin rights, but the user (when logged on as him/herself) does not. That's a networks rights issue, not an Access problem.

dcx693,
Thanks for replying.
It is a network issue and it is OK now.
Unknown to me they had set different privileges on the parent folder. Should have checked this first... Hindsight is a great thing...
