File already in use

Has anyone experienced this error message before?

"Could not use "V:\Project\Materials\PurchSQE\Training\MaterialsTraining_be.mdb';file already in use".

Backend is on a shared network drive and everyone has their own copy of the front end. I installed the fe on several machines, but, on two systems, I get this message when trying to open the db. There is no locking file present when the message is received.

I've never seen it before and have checked mapping and permissions for both systems/users and it's all fine.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

could be a permissions error, check ntfs permissons for the backend for the two systems you are having problems with
