Way older than that really, if you count that essentially the same command (named "ls") has been in *nix operating systems from the start.

BTW The old DOS commands are aliased in the replacement for cmd. Powershell is like cmd on steroids and even has a GUI with Intellisense.

only for that folder though.?

'dir /s > filename' will also do the sub folders and files
dir >> will append the data

Nice to see that old commands still have a useful purpose these days.:D

Any way of getting the Folder/File size?

Good morning Ariel, Let's just say 'I have forgotten more than you will ever know"

For Clarity, this is an attempt at humour based on this thread here:-

how to convert query to vb code

In your case Ariel, I'm sure that you know more than me, hence the need to point it out it is meant to be humourous!

Ha ha ha, i thought that was a serious one.

Hi Tony

Don't worry - you're not alone! :D
This is another example of something I used to know but had forgotten ...

Have you released the latest version of your JSON database yet? I must get and have a look at that, before I go on holiday...

Version 3.2 is still the latest on the website

I hope to release the final 'pre-release' version (3.8) to testers early next week.
Its basically done apart from updating documentation.
It has 45 sample files all of which have been analysed & transformed successfully using fully automated code. :D
It has also taken up far too much time at the expense of other projects ... :(

When are you away on holiday?

You can also automatically print by identifying your printing port!!!

Dir > LPT1

Or pipe it to |More so you can see your list on screen with prompt for a space bar!

All these wonderful tips, so useful! What will they think of next?

Just to bring you up-to-date... I decided against trying to organize and backup files myself. I downloaded some free software for doing the backup. It creates 4.7GB zip files that can be put on to writable DVD-R 4.7GB Disc's ---

The software I Downloaded was:- EasyUS Todo Backup - Free - 10.6
Not sure if this Link is SAFE!!!
URL:- https://www.easeus.com/backup-software/tb-free.html === SAFE?
