Form Design - moving controls

Has anybody else experienced a problem with aligning/moving/nudging controls using the arrow keys?

I've noticed that the control may not move until an arrow is held down for several seconds, after which time the control suddenly moves off beyond the desired alignment required. It also may change the vertical position of the control when using the left/right keys. It's most frustrating.

I've re-installed Office to no effect. Any ideas, out there?

Hi Dave. Check if you have the Snap to Grid option on. If so, try disabling it.

I have no problem with nudging controls though I have seen the issue in the distant past. Just wondering....do you use the wizard to create forms? Are you using layout guides?
If so try removing them.

The small vertical displacement is irritating but normal. It is a side effect of converting positions shown in cm/inches to the nearest whole number of twips which are the units used for placing objects on the screen.

Ah yes. The Snap to Grid was on. I've not tried it since changing it but I'm hopeful.
