Form detail window too small: how to fix it

Problem:

I have created a Form (using Form wizard) and then dragging the fields around as required. The Form fills about one screen and a half.

In Design View I can see all all the fields that should be on the screen (and can reach the others with the scroll bar). The screen is full from top to bottom as expected.

In Data View, however, there is a thin line about half-way across the screen. I can see all the fields which are above that line, but the bottom half of the screen is empty.

I can reach the fields below the thin line by using the scroll bar, but use of scroll bar should not be necessary since half a screen is still available for display.

btw, the screen is full size.

I have tried in design view to drag that thin line down, but it is not responsive.

What can I do to fix this problem?

What you are probably seeing is the form footer. Open the form in design view and drag the bottom edge up until it is touching the footer header line.
