I have two databases:

the earlier one form footers anchor to the detail section, which is what I like.

in the new one, form footer anchors to bottom of screen. I cannot find the property which changes this and have no idea why this differes from one to the other.

Any help on how I can get the form footer to anchor to the detail section? Im using MS Access 2013 for both. First database was started in MS Access 2010 tho.

Thanks!

I don't think it's possible to Anchor the different sections of a form... technically speaking...

But I kind of feel like maybe it has something to do with the Height of your Details section... it sounds like you may have your Auto Height set to Yes.

Here's why:
Essentially increasing the Height of a section pushes the sections below it down, so if your Footer section is moving up and down in regards to your Details section then that sounds to me that the Auto Height of your Details section is the culprit because it has the ability to "push" your Footer away.

Hell you might even just need to set all your Sections to Auto Height to No and see what happens... i'm curious lol.

move your Form Footer to Report Footer.

The detail section's heigth is not the issue. Its literally just different from the older one to the new, but both running in Access 2010.

But the form footer on first database stays anchored to detail section. In newer database it anchors to the bottom.

Never heard of there being a report footer on a form.

It might be related to "layout view" Access builds a type of control around other objects. Search layout view in this forum. I have seen this on forms but not in reports. you may be able to delete this control.
