Hi all,

I just have a little question which i can hope someone can help me with.

I have a form where the user selcts from a combo box a shop name, i have then a text box which the user types in a number. This number is to show all of the shops which have had a profit greater than the value they enter in the text box. A query which is based on a table containing all the data, has criteria based on what values are found in the combo box and text box:

Like [Forms]![LD_SMALL_DELIVERY_INTERVAL]![ShopName]

>[Forms]![LD_SMALL_DELIVERY_INTERVAL]![Profit]

The query doesn't pick up what i ask for in the text box and just shows all of the figures. Can anyone tell me where i am goin wrong or could direct me to any help. Thanks

I believe you will need to post the entire SQL so someone can help.

Also, make sure you're using the name of the control on your form in the query, NOT the name of your field. If you go into the properties of your control, you can see the name. By default, Access names the controls the same as your fields, but it is usually good practice to change the to avoid problems. I usually preface text boxes with txt (like txtProfit) and combo boxes with cbo (like cboShopName).

Where can i find the name of the control, i am using the name of the text box currently

The text box is the control. Is the name of the field and the name of the text box different? If not, I would change them as I suggested. If that doesn't work, post the db and i'll take a look.
