Form multiplication

Hi,

I have four fields; Quantity - Price - Postage - Total.

In Control Source I already have the calculation in the TotalField...

=[Price]+[Postage] and that works fine when the quantity is 1

But I need the Price to double when the Quantity changes to 2

I tried =[Quantity]*[Price] in a new text box but this does not work

Is this because the quantity is a text field and the other 3 are currency?

Try:
=(Me.Quantity)*(Me.Price)
It would be better if your controls had names different than the field to which they are bound.

In the TotalField Control Source put

=([Quantity]*[Price])+[postage]

and in the Format property of the control select Currency

Looking at the formula you gave it seems so obvious, I must have tried everything alse but that, think I forgot the () as well.
