Form Opening Problem

Greetings,

I have more problems with this project I'm building.
Suddenly one of the forms has decided not to open. The attached JPEG shows the dialogue box that opens.

In one copy of the DB, only one form is affected. However, in another copy, all three forms built on the same Dynamic Multi Search pattern by John Big Booty.

I've looked at the 'Open Event' coding of the functioning forms and queries, but cannot see any difference. I even copied the code from the good to the bad, to no avail.

I went to: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=283806 and did not see any bad reference in the VB editor.

Any clue as to what to do would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance, again,
MNM

Are all the computers running the same version of Access? Looks like a problem with the reference. With an ACCDE/MDE it is hard to debug, so you need to use the ACCDB/MDB file to debug the actual error.

Using the actual raw file,
1. Get the error number and description, lets take it from there.
2. Check the Reference list, see if there is anything that says (MISSING).

Sorry to be the barer of bad news but in the past, when I’ve had this message, it has always been caused by the form becoming corrupted.

Yes ... and NO.

The machine used to make the original DB is an XP Pro w/ Office 2003 Pro.
This has a twist though, Both the OS & Office are the Japanese language flavor.
Everything runs fine on it.
There is another machine I've used, another XP Pro w/ Office 2010 w/ English Language Pack installed, also Japanese. Some of the forms run on this one.
I'v used this to add a sub-form to two forms, since my machine doesn't have this option installed and the installer crashes when I try to add any functionality to any Office application.:(
Both of these are at work.
I've tried it on my machine at home, an English language XP Pro & Office 2003.
No form or report works on this one.
I'm clueless about ACCDE/MDE or ACCDB/MDB.

I'm beginning to think not only is it a version incompatability, but the language coding issue as well...

MNM

See if your code will compile. Gremlins love to hide in uncompiled code.

Please see my reply to pr2-eugin. On the one machine, there are no problems, no compilation errors.

BTW: The screen shot is from the home machine.

MNM
