I have a windows 2000 box with access 97. The user wants to put a shortcut to a form in a networked database on the desktop. When we try to open the form Access tries to open but freezes up and never makes it to the database. When we close access it says it "can't find c:\machine\documents and settings\user\dbname.mfa".
I found another post on this site about putting the database on the local machine but it didn't solve the problem.
It appears there is something about this machine because this setup is working on several other machines with the same configuration.
It has also mentioned ensuring any needed libraries are referenced but this is a very simple one form database. All the basic libraries are checked.
Anyone have an idea what causes this?
Thanks in advance.
