Form sizing

I have a main form that opens a second form. The main form is maximized in size, and the second form automatically maximizes when it opens. I would like the second form to open up in its original size centered over the main form. I have already selected Auto Center in the properties.

If I DoCmd.Restore upon opening the second form, the main form shrinks.

If I select pop up mode, that works perfectly for size but then when the report preview is opened from the second form, the form stays in front of the report.

How would I go about fixing this?

visible = false

use visible to false after loading your report. on report closing event make sure u make the form visible back to true.

Thanks for the reply but I guess I'm needing a little help with the syntax of this...

In the On Load report event I tried...

Form.SearchJobs.Visible = False

...but I get an undefined variable error.

u know access has some help on syntax too. also, u can search for keyword here. and it's even faster.

Forms![SearchJobs].Visible = True

on open report u can put false, and close report make it true.
