I am semi new to access...so bare with me...

I dont know if there is a way to have a hyperlink but default text.
For example I have my files stored on a server, and I want to link it. It is a pain in the butt to edit each record with the text and the hyperlink.
Is there a way to make the text default to "Application" ? If I paste the link alone it just shows the URL but I want the text. (Without having to enter it 5,000 times):banghead:

I would really appreciate any help.
(I am unfortunately self taught at access so not very proficient)

Your description makes little sense to me. Could you give another shot at your problem !

:/
I have a form where I want to include a link... for an application
So when I paste the url in the field it will either show the entire url or i have to enter my own text.

I want to just paste my url and have the word application appear instead of the url ( without having to enter it myself each time)

Does that help?

Why not use FileDialog to select the file you wish to use as hyperlinks? Easier to implement this solution IMHO.
