form to add row with information pre-defined

hey,

i have a main form with multiple subforms on it, and a command button for each subform.

when clicked, how do i go about opening the relative subform in its own window with the linking value (histnum) already defined

You can use wizard to help you along.

In form design view, when you add a subform, make sure that magic wand button is turned on. It'll help you along, then you can look around and see how it's linked.
