I'm trying to use the form wizard in access 2007 to build a form. The form has 73 fields. When I hit finish on the wizard, it tells me that it can't make the form. I'm using the justified option. Is there a limit to how many fields can go in a justified form or what? I don't remember having this issue when I built forms in access 2003. Thanks for any ideas! :banghead:

My guess would be...yes! A Form, meaning a Recordset, having more than 20-25 Fields, is almost certainly not normalized, and needs to be re-configured.

I agree 100% with Linq. Tell us about the database using simple English, as you would tell a 6 yr old.
You'll get focused responses once readers understand the issues and your requirements.
Good luck.

I never use a wizard. If you are doing a tabular form the mess that is made with more than 25 controls and a limited form width - it is not worth the hassle and besides the default width is applied to each control.

This is what I do to begin and this takes time - make your first form like a template and determine your style and layout - screen size and depth. Consider putting some controls onto multiple tabulated controls to reduce the density of the form.

I copy the header information from form to form and modify and Buttons accordingly. Access 2016 does not always remember Button formats.

Continuous forms slack them and then and then arrange to tabular. Then fix the widths of the controls to fix the information.

Wizards to to go back to the school of magic and learn some tricks.
