A field arrives at a percentage and feeds a form. I want it to have one decimal place. The form’s Properties, “Decimal Places” lets me choose decimal places, but “Format” remains empty, thus offering no formatting choices. Can anyone help please?

In format you can put:

0.0%

However, any instances of 0% will then read as 0.0% which doesn't look good.

So, for the Format property, use:

0.0%;-0.0%;0%

Hi MoP er SJ

I must be putting it in in the wrong place. This is where the percentage begins, in a query

PerCent: ([qryInWorkTotal].[CountOfName])/([qryWorkPotential].[Potential])*100 & ' %'

Trying yours in the form properties and query properties makes no change, unfortunately. (I still have 96.646464646 for 12! decimal places.) Cheers

PerCent: Format(([qryInWorkTotal].[CountOfName])/([qryWorkPotential].[Potential])*100),"0.0%;-0.0%;0%")

Sorry, but it brings out the old error warning about invalid syntax and enclosing text data in quotes. ??

Unfortunately, I can't. Ah well, thanks for the guidance.

Actually, you've helped me much more than you could guess. You've made me tackle the problem by mixing in ye olde Expression Builder and the result is a far less complicated product. (I usually try to avoid building that way. In this case, it's made a great job.) So the cry still is MoP (aka SJMac) for President. Many thanks
