formatting reports

do you have to format a report each time after you run a report. or once you format it, it will look the same each time when you run the report?

Sounds like a loaded question. Once you format a report it should stay that way. Of course when you say 'format a report' that could cover a lot of areas like fonts, line colors, etc. so this should probably have a little more detail in the question...

thank you, yes i mean extreme formatting fonts, lines, moving itmes on the report.

no, i am just going to create one so i didnt know where to format it now or later

i read that i have to use SNE files or snapsnot of reports to save my reports once i format them. is this true?

You should be fine. The only advice I'd give is to stay away from color if possible as a blue on one printer could be another shade of blue on another printer (I try to only use colors in things like graphs) and try to stay away from changing fonts as much as possible as some may not be available on all of the workstations you may want to deploy to.

SNP and pdf are the two I use to send reports electronically like in emails.
