Formatting Text in a Label (1 Viewer)

Hey Folks-

I'm trying to do some simple things with text in a label on a form, but it seems to give me tons of problems (incorporates spaces where I don't want them, chiefly). Is there any type of free-text box that I can use that offers me the versatility that say, a PowerPoint textbox does?
