Hi All,
1st post or should it be last post..:) I am a complete novice with access so please be gentle. My problem is simple well not to me. I have a small db in access 2003 with which i created a form with 6 buttons each to supposedly run a querie..the queries have all been written previous as the db was originally created in access1.0. I am unfortunately unable to do this can anyone point me in the right direction please...thank you Williebear

Providing you know which query matches which button, it should be quite easy.

First take a note of the query names.

Then go into the design of your form.

Right click the first button, go to properties, go to the events tab and click on the ... at the end of the "on click" event.

go to code builder.

type the following.

Docmd.openquery "your query name here"

(note, do not omit the inverted commas)

Do the same for each button, and this is your solution.

Thank you so much...i have one additional query if ok..can u run 2 queries at the same time..it does not list all the info i require ..that is one missing field.......thanks again Williebear

Yes you can but if the missing field is from the same table, why not go into the design of the query and add the missing field in?

No sorry the field is in another table..it was all working before but after conversion up to access 2003 it does not list the other properties..thanks again for your patience..Williebear

Even so, I'm sure that you could still probably accomplish this in one query depending on how your tables are structured.

Queries allow you to link tables to display data as one view.

But if you really want to open two queries on one button, just add another line of code underneath like before

Docmd.OpenQuery "QueryName"

Thanks I will have a go at it this afternoon...babysitting duties..thanks again for your help...Williebear
