Hi after solving the issues with my database(thanks to you guys) I have now come across another. My database is a vehicle management db. I want to store customer, vehicle and invoicing data. I have 3 tables, Customers, Vehicles and Invoicing. The invoicing calculations are in the query. I have a form(customer) with 2 sub forms(Vehicle and invoicing). I filter the form to select the customer & then the subform shows their vehicle, and I enter invoice details on the invoicing subform. My question is, how do I take into account a customer who has 2 or more vehicles?

The vehicle subForm will show the 2 vehicles.
BUT if you want to see client---vehicle---invoice,
You need to build a 3 layer sub form in a subForm.
THEN you can see this structure.

Thank you for your reply. Not sure I understand. I'm very new to access, this being my first database. Could you possibly explain further please?

Archie1,

Before you get too far/deep into Access, you need to have an understanding of databases. Getting your tables and relationships designed to meet your business needs is extremely important. Until you get the proper structures, you can spend hours of frustration and work arounds trying to input or output your info.

Here is a tutorial from Rogers Access Library that will help you. It starts witha clear description of what you are trying to do, and leads you through steps to get an appropriate design.

Spend 30-45 minutes working through the tutorial and things will get much easier and make more sense.

There are other tutorials with similar approach. (If you want to try a few more)
