Forms collection question

Sometimes I can do

BLAH= forms.[formname].[control]

when I type forms. I get a list of the forms in my db.

other times when I do it I get
Application
Count
Item
Parent

as choices. What's going on?

These are the "default" properties of any object in the database. Perhaps the difference is whether any forms are open at the time. When none are open, perhaps that is why you see the default list.

You see, "Forms" is the collection of open forms. "Documents" is the collection that contains all forms, open or not.

very odd.
I don't have any documents collection when I do

Documents. []

I have DAO referenced.

additionally if I do this

Form_Formname.[property] it works .. i'm baffled.
