forms & tables open partly below taskbar

On my work PC in Access 97 tables and forms open with the bottom including the navigation buttons below the taskbar and the bottom right corner below and to the right of the bottom right corner of the screen.

If I hide the taskbar the forms and tables resize so that the bottom is still off screen.

If I open the same database on my home PC or on someone else's PC at work the problem does not occur.

The extra resizing and dragging waste a lot of time.

I would be grateful if someone can explain the cause and cure.

Are the letters and objects (Forms, Reports, etc.) also bigger on this other PC? I'm thinking it has a lower screen resolution. Check that and let us know if that's it.

I usually work at 1024 x 768 for my own personal use but switch to 800 x 600 when developing databases for other people at work. The problem occurs at both screen resolutions.

I suspect, but cannot prove, that the problem may have been caused by a downloaded database demonstrating how to manipulate windows in Access, which failed to return all the settings to normal.

It is no great problem to control the size of forms. Tables and queries are the main problem.
