Formulas not working in Access 2k

Fresh installation of Office 2k Pro with sp2 applied and MDAC 2.7 installed - No Built-in fuctions are working at all on this machine. The same functions work on another machine with an identical copy of the database. Message when attempting to display the results is: "Undefined Function 'Mid' in Expression" in this case. Any thoughts?

Check that your references are okay. I suspect one or more is missing.

Checked the references, none were missing but DAO 3.6 was there. Out of curiosity I knocked it down to DAO 3.0 and that resolved the issue. Any idea what would cause DAO 3.6 not to work while 3.0 works.

I have found that on occasion Access throws a wobbly and gives the sort of problem you've experienced. I suspect that it is not directly the change to DAO 3.0 that's given the cure but rather that the change is causing the references to resfresh. Try putting 3.6 back in, it will probably work.
