Forums upgraded!

We have finished upgrading the forums to the latest 3.8.x version, so the security will be much better. Now we are working on the additional security changes.

Please let me know if there has been any change to spam levels or any other errors since these changes *may* have a knock-on effect.

I must admit that the numer of spammers has dramtically dropped of late. Spent very little time administrating them.

Yes, I reverted it back to the one I had initally. Do you want me to create a brand new one or not?

Yes please. We have to ensure all passwords are completely new. Let me know once done because then I lock that password so hackers can't change it.

That's odd, when I post it is hanging. That is using Firefox. Just testing now in IE. Did it hang for you too?

Just that between submitting a reply to it refreshing the screen takes a few seconds, nothing much, might even by my end that doing it.

What browser do you use? It only happened for me in Firefox and then it just stayed hung, even though the post got through. I'm restarting Firefox to do another test.

Normal IE not firefox

Just cleared my Firefox cache to see what happens...

Mine still hangs. I will reboot my PC and try it. There are quite a few modifications to the site so it might take some time to debug it.

We dealt with this awhile ago. It has to do with the ads in the forum and the way firefox handles them.. There is a thread on it here someplace.
