I've heard there are people who actually manage to live without buying anything, or buying much anyway. The one that intrigues me is that people actually rake the buckets (bins) of supermarkets to get free food

This got me to thinking I could never be a free loader, then I realised yesterday, I have a habit of stopping by the perfume counter at various department stores every lunch time to get a "skoosh of perfume" lol. What's your free loading story?

We have a large exhibition in Toronto that runs for 2 weeks each summer. One of the pavillions is for food.
As you walk through you are offered free samples of various new food products.
I remember as a child going through and as soon as the staff saw you were a child the samples disappeared. Really bugged me.
Now, as an adult, the free samples are being offered to me at every angle. I generally take one of each and then give them to a child (with the parent's permission).

You can almost have free lunch at our supermarkets on a Saturday with all the "samples" unfortunately there is no way to tell if someone before you has picked up and put down...

There's usually someone watching the sample counters in the supermarkets here. It's unlikely someone can sample and then replace it back onto the sample counter for the unsuspecting victim. :D

When my company provides lunch, I always take plenty home to feed me for the rest of the day, if not the weekend. :D

Of course, I always check http://www.slickdeals.net daily to see if any restaurants are offering free food or really cheap food for the day. They always post those birthday specials and such. It's also a good site to find a deal on anything really, check it out. :D
