Have you guys noticed that if the record source for your form is a query that takes awhile to run, Access freezes up everytime you try to do something with it in design view. It's like Access is running the query in the background.
Sounds like you may have a small corruption in your db - suggest you compact the db and if that doesn't improve things, copy all objects to a new db - it usually solves the problem.
Are you using Access 2007/2010 and there are people working in the back end?
Meaning, your database is split and everyone has their own copy of the front end with a connection to the back end, while you are trying to work on your own copy of the front end.

Yes, I had tried running the compact/repair, but I think this was a problem relating to the use of ADP, which was on it's last ropes. I did have my own development version of the database that only I would be in, but it would freeze up in both databases. I don't have this problem anymore since migrating to accdb.
