I have spent most of the day reading the Help info on the WEb and in Access2002, to little avail. Simplistically speaking... I have created a db of contacts, and to add each contact, there is a form. I want to be able to store the contacts' image file somewhere outside the db, but add to the form the location of this file, and I want the form to display this image by using that file location.
So far, I have an image showing for the 1st record, but the problem is that as I scroll through each record, there is no change to the image. I know it has something to do with the "bound" issue, but I must be stupid cuz no amount of reading on this issue has led me to success, as yet. That's hopefully where my fellow Forum-meisters can help? Maybe? Sometimes another way of explaining something works wonders. Thanks!!!

hmm.. reading an interesting thread on this :threadid=15442
lemme see if it works.

I did what was suggested in that posted thread (threadid=15442), but ...
I do get a new image for each new record. but when I close the db and open again, I only get one image for all the records. I have to redo the steps to get it working again. But as soon as I close and reopen, it no longer works.
HEEEELLPPPP!!!!

Sorry for the many personal add-on threads here... but just to be clear, it continues to work when I close the db (leaving access open) and reopen the db. But it does NOT work when I close access and reopen access.
BTW.. can you tell I am desperate by the number of times I keep checking for an answer?

tHaNK goD aLIMIGHTY!

Figured out that I was missing a Form_AfterUpdate() command, and it works.

The world may now continue.
